Nick Wong is a freelance writer and photographer exploring the world through the culture of fighting. He spent 18 months training in boxing gyms of Latin America, and worked as a Fulbright Scholar with Fight for Peace - a non-profit organization that uses the sport of boxing to deter youth from the drug trade in Rio De Janeiro. He is a first prize recipient for the 2012 National Geographic/Nikon Full Story photo competition and his work has appeared in Gawker, Complex Magazine and the Fightland blog of Vice Media. He is also a member of the Boxing Writers Association of America and a voting member on the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board.
